Great article and so true. Regarding Myth #2, if the BI program does not capture the business model accurately it’s not likely to be of great value.

]]>These 3 myths are so right on the money and they are subtle because IT walks right into them without really knowing. I have seen this happen over and over.
I especially liked your comment about BI being a program. From a slightly different perspective, I find that even the most enthusiastic business client msy not really understand what they want. In fact, once they see the first cut results is typically when they really start to understand what they need and it always grows from there.
